Don't forget you hat!!

This is my first entry . The thing that I am engaged in right now is recovering from too much sun. I am amazed the short time it took to zap me. I went out to rake up grass that was laying on the front lawn. I wanted to use it for mulch on a newish garden with some spaces still bare. Well it was that hot day a week ago and I didn't have a hat at first . I realized it and went in to get one after the first wheelbarrow full. I guess I was out about twenty five min. and came in when the job was done. I didn't feel too bad then but got worse as the day wore on. I couldn't consentrate, but I wasn't dizzy . by evening I was nauseous, stomach rumblings and wanted to sleep.
The next day it was sore back which turned out to be Kidneys. It has been over a week and the pain in the back is slowly subsiding. I realize now that I hadn't drunk enough water or wore the hat and I could have permenently damaged my Kidney.
I am not drinking coffee any more at lest untill the kidney is better. each time I drank coffee it was like stabbing myself in the back.
The thing that I have learned is that I am more fragile than I had ever imagined.
and that the reason I am still alive is that God has a purpose for me. He gives us air to breath and food to eat . The body is a miracle . when you think of how everything works together .
No one but God could have put this all together. The body, the world, the universe . one can't do without the other. I want to thank God . He is an awesome God!!!!

I am rejoicing with you Mom! Are you keeping up with your Dr. concerning your high blood pressure and potassium levels. I have been thinking about your health lately.
Keep writing - even without inspiration, its one way to share your life with your kids who live far away.

I can't bleive that happened to you. I didn't even know that you could hurt your kidneys in that way. Are you finding it hard to be off coffee. its amazing how much it dehydrates a person, eh? When I drink a cup I try to have a cup of water at the same time. They say you have to drink six cups of water for every cup of coffee. What is it in the stuff that zaps a person like that? I'm glad you are getting better now. love you
