Wrens feeding their young

I am so proud of these photos. It took Patience and determination to get them.
I stood quite close to the bird house 10' away. I knew the wrens would eventually fly in to feed their young so I just stood with the camera ready . They nattered at me and flew all around trying to get by me but their instinct took over and they took a chance .The mosquitoes were biting my arm and the dog wanted to go for a walk but I stuck it out.
I was surprised to see the detail . The babies inside , the food in their beaks, and the printing on bird house. We hung up this bird house just to get it out of the porch not thinking anything would use it as it is a decorative piece. click on them to enlarge them . You can notice a lot more.
Look in the hole at their wide open mouths. Ruth

Awesome pictures, mom! Way to go on the patience. I knew Denise got that endurance from somewhere in the family. I really enjoy your photos. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

Ruth, these pictures are fantastic!! We were so happy to run into you and Bill at the Centreville Fair. The boys have been using their mouth organs non-stop - Cody is determined to learn how to play "When the Saints Go Marching In" for the first night of carving. Tyson spent the night last night, so I had 3 of them out on the yard all playing different songs at once. A picture just doesnt describe it. They sure were enjoying themselves.
