Their Maiden Voyage
They picked up their load and set out towards Napanee where Denise drove onto the scale at the Flying J. She and Paul are pictured here in action. denise is phoning the store telling them the particulars. Bill and I met them there and had lunch with them on the first leg of their long journey. They went hither and yon , north (Calgery and edmonton) during that recent storm.Where numerous trucks ended in the ditch and where Denise was at the wheel when the truck began to skid back and forth. She handled that as she was taught and gained control but decided it was time to get off of the road. They got to a spot where other truckers had stopped and stayed some hours in the worst of the storm. One of the others worked for the same company and was an instructor . A ministering Angel, . Denise says that the other truckers are all very kind and helpfull. This group stayed with them and helped with advice and encouragement. Then they went south of the border and when they got to Fargo the others where waiting there for them. They said " We knew you would be here. I think they were all taking the same loads
They still had a long way to go before getting home this last friday night.
All went well on the first voyage and Paul and Denise are loving it.
